The new season on Jazz FM radio comes along with a new youth festival in the city of Shumen. Bulgaria's only jazz radio is the main media partner and co-organizer of the event aimed at showcasing the city's young musicians.

Shumen is home to a significant part of Bulgarian jazz history, and the festival is an opportunity to add a new thread of the city's music history into national context. Combining a concert and a training module, the youth festival programme will be an opportunity for young artists to demonstrate their talents, while their teachers and established musicians will have a chance to contribute actively to further developing their skills and creating new works of art. The programme will also include lectures dedicated to composing, arrangement, performance, and jazz piano improvisations. Accompanied by a series of training sessions and group jazz improvisations, all programme activities will culminate in the gala concert in the end of the five-day youth festival in Shumen.

The first edition of the festival will be held in partnership with the Shumen University “Bishop Konstantin of Preslav”, the Slava Dobroplodni High School of Arts, and the Personal Development Support Center - “Veselin Stoyanov” Municipal Children's Complex. All lectures and the gala concert will be recorded and published online.
